Should be back online now. There are many reasons for the short break. Have my computer protected by an expensive Norton software package which has served me well over the past two years or so and is till active for another year. Having said that it advised me that my hard drive had been corrupted. Off I chuffed to Apple Mac Wollongong to get the problem sorted only to be told that the hard drive was ok and not corrupted. Double check please, same
response. Go back home and try to contact Norton help desk by phone, busy no answer so gave up the ghost late in afternoon. Booted up computer next day and everything OK.
Turns out there was a glitch with Norton and the software was not updating and as a result ceased to function. Sending erratic system messages. Subsequent upgrade solved the problem. Computer scanned for viruses and all ok.
